Because of the rules of conduct being trained in mixed martial arts doesn’t always prepare you for real life situations like street fighting.  The type of MMA fighting known as full contact fighting allows for a greater variety of attack techniques.  Because of this it’s far more useful preparation tool for learning realistic unarmed combat.
